Dr. Tom Watkins, known as simply “Dr. Tom” to patients, family and friends, has an illustrious career in dentistry that began when he was in the U.S. Air Force. As a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship in 1975, Dr. Tom began his dental education at the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio. The then-captain continued his dental education over the next four years with advanced training in dental specialty fields serving as a dentist on Lackland Air Force Base. Dr. Tom continued with his military service as a Reserve Dental Officer upon completion of his first tour of duty, and eventually became a full clinical professor at the University of Texas Dental School with his own family and restorative dental practice.

Married with two grown children, Dr. Tom is active in many organizations as well as his church, providing dental care to impoverished areas of Central and South America with other missionaries from Oak Hills Church. Deep-sea fishing, mountain biking, hiking and visiting Major League Baseball parks keep him smiling, as does practicing his personal mission of “Loving to Live by Living to Love.”

Dr. Alejandro Cavazos began his family dentist career when a dental assistant teacher inspired him back in high school. He went on to become the first member of his family to graduate college, and further pursed his training and education at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School. He earned Resident of the Year honors during his one-year advanced education in general dentistry program and is a member of several professional organizations. In addition to providing top-notch dental care, his passions include spending time with his wife and two children, visiting state parks and the coast, photography, and fishing.
